Hero Notes:

Coonawarra’s fabled flat landscape (it is a pre-historic sea bed) and famous red soils are as steeped in sheep-rearing as they are in wine, and the name of this label is taken from the old method of payment made to local shearers – the “Tally” was the number of sheep successfully shawn in a day. The Tally rates as one of Australia’s most awarded wines of recent years, and while it always shows a fair amount of oak in its youth, it inevitably evolves an elegance to match its power.
