Hero Notes:

Most great wines speak of place, but few attend to it so reverentially as Hill of Grace. As if patiently kneeling amid the congregation itself, the 8 hectare vineyard has sat contemplating the beautiful Gnadenberg church opposite for over one hundred years. The oldest blocks of the vineyard – referred to as The Grandfathers – date back to the early 1860s, and while surely being some of the most desired Shiraz in all of Australia, they would also rate as some of the world’s oldest vines still on their own rootstock. A wine worthy of a pilgrimage.
