Hero Notes:

Named after pioneer, pastoralist and parliamentarian John Riddoch, this is not only the pinnacle of the Wynn’s estate releases, but it is also often the benchmark for the region’s – and some would even argue, the country’s – best expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. Destined always to be quiet and restrained in its youth, as the wine evolves it releases blackberry fruit, creamy rich oak and textured, dark chocolate-flavoured tannins. Perhaps the greatest challenge posed by this wine is when to drink it, as 20 to 30 years would be a conservative estimate of its cellar potential.
